Is this suitable to some who has never shot a firearm before?

Yes, the first stage of the complex is designed so first timers can come and experience the use of firearms in a controlled environment under the supervision of our trained staff.

So how does this work? Can I just show up? Do I need to book?

Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment. We ask customers to arrive ~15min before a booking to fill out paperwork and present current photo ID. Customer are escorted to a staging area for a safety briefing and outfitted with eye and ear PPE. On entering the range customers are familiarized with the firearms by range officers before the shot commences. Range safety officers are on the range to provide assistance at all times during the shoot.

I have booked for a shoot, what do i need to bring with me?

You need current photo ID & enclosed shoes for everyone entering the range. If you are aged between 14-17yrs you will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Do you have an age limit to shoot on the range?

We can have people of 14-17yrs shooting on the range with supervision from a legal guardian and Topshot staff.

Is this range suitable to more experienced shooters?

The first range now open is more geared towards the first time shooter and tourists, in late 2020 we will open stage two with a range dedicated to indoor IPSC style events with a club membership and firearm support with a second IPSC style range and a short range high power rifle range to follow.

What makes Topshot different to other shooting ranges?

Topshot is Australia's first public shooting range to use all NON-TOXIC ammunition. This is becoming the norm for government and military training around the world and provides a safer environment for our customers and staff over the use of lead based ammunition. We feel this is the future for indoor shooting.

When are you open?

Tuesday 6pm-9pm
Friday 6pm-9pm
Saturday 10am-6pm
Sunday 10am-4pm.
When our members range and club opens in late 2020 we will move towards being open 7 days a week including evenings and public holidays.

Can I bring a friend to share a shooting package with me?

Yes you can have 2 people maximum to share a package on our public range.

What sort pricing are your shoot packages?

Please click HERE to view our pricing. Additional ammunition can be purchased at a discounted price. Firearm packages available on the range will change over time.

Are we allowed to bring your own licensed firearms or do we have to use the Topshots firearms?

Only Topshot firearms can be used on our public range that is setup for tourists and first time shooters. Later in 2020 we will open stage two of the complex with a range dedicated to indoor IPSC style events with a club membership with a second IPSC style range and a short range high power rifle range to follow. Once our club is up and running we can have visitors with ther own guns and also will be able to offer club support to our members.

Are you affiliated with other shooting association?

Topshot is a private business but when the members club/range opens later in the year it will be its own association with affiliations to several shooting disciplines.

Can I bring my rifle to sight in?

Not at this time. Our rifle range is currently under construction but will be one of the last to be completed in the complex. Our rifle range will more suited to customers wanting to experience firing heavy caliber rifles like safari and magnum rifles. Due to the size constraints of the building the range will be ~25-30m long.
